Elaine's book shares something of what it can be like to live with a mental illness. She is very happy to discuss her journey in more detail, either casually or in formal interview via telephone or face to face meeting.
As an advocate for mental health discussion, Elaine is keen to get people talking and draw the condition from the shadows. She is happy to discuss virtually all aspects of her experience, including Bipolar disorder, Self harm, Anxiety issues and Mild ocd. The reality of Persistent suicidal ideation and planning can also be openly discussed, but Elaine is unable to reveal some of the specifics.
The privacy of others is always respected and so Elaine will not reveal details or personal experiences of clients, friends or family; any stories or examples cited will either be drawn from Elaine's own life or be generic accounts used to illustrate a point.
If you would like to arrange an interview with Elaine, please submit your request via the form below and she will get back to you as soon as possible. It must be understood that although Elaine will do her best to honour all comitments, her illness may at times raise challenges that would prevent the interview going ahead at the agreed time - This is HIGHLY unlikely - but should it happen, Elaine will happily reschedule at the earliest opportunity once feeling more stable.
A transcript, recoridng, mp4 file, text file or pdf of the interview would be appreciated once completed. Your own links and credits will of course be fully acknowledged should the interview may be reproduced on Elaine's blog or website: links may be shared across other social media.
